This is a 10' x 20' mural I completed in February 2012. The image is based on the islands and mountains looking east from the village of Bella Bella In the Heilstuk territory on the central west coast of British Columbia.
It was a commission I accepted from the local school, where the mural is housed. The project took about a week.
